Hamid Baeidinejad is an Iranian diplomat who serves as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Kingdom. Baeidinejad graduated from the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s School of International Relations in 1989. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the same year and has worked for the ministry ever since, working in the field of disarmament. Baeidinejad was assigned as Iran’s First Secretary to the UN office at Geneva from 1992 to 1996, and was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Iranian delegation to the Conference on Disarmament. Baeidinejad went on to serve as the Director for Disarmament in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from 1999 to 2002 was assigned as the Counsellor on Disarmament for the Iranian Mission to the UN in New York. After his return to Tehran, he was appointed as the Director for Multi-Lateral Political Affairs and then the Director-General for International Political Affairs. He served as the Ambassador and Iran’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Mission at Geneva from 2008 to 2011. In 2013 he was appointed as the Director-General for Political Affairs and International Security. Baeidinejad also served as one of Iran’s negotiators in the negotiations for curtailing Iran’s nuclear program that lead to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in 2015. In addition to many statements, working papers, policy papers and briefing booklets, Baeidinejad has written several books and substantive articles on disarmament as well as UN affairs. He has family with 3 children and lives in Tehran.

Johan Elmquist is an emerging market veteran who has +25 years of broad experience in financial markets in several different positions, and with a clear focus on emerging markets. Johan is one of the founders of Tundra Fonder, a Swedish frontier equity asset management boutique. Tundra was launched in 2011 and is running six UCITS funds with AuM amounting to USD 250m. Tundra is most famous for its Tundra Pakistan Fund with some 90-percentage points outperformance to the MSCI Pakistan index net of dividend since inception October 2011.
Before starting Tundra in 2011, Johan was managing a group of Russian equity funds with Swedbank Robur, with assets amounting to USD 2bn at that time. He has had double AA rating with Citywire for his performance within Russian equities. Johan spent the first 10 years of his career with Alfred Berg, which at the time was the top ranked Nordic Investment Bank globally. He was based in Moscow 1995-97 to start the Alfred berg Research effort in Russia, and before that worked as a top ranked Utilities analyst in the Swedish equity market.
